Richard and Michael succeed Edward Park, whom they have been working closely alongside over recent years as part of the firm’s long-term succession planning. These appointments underscore the firm’s commitment to continuity, which has been key component of its success. Both Richard and Michael have played pivotal roles in creating the Group’s industry-leading Central Investment Process and bring with them 35 years of combined Brooks Macdonald investing experience to their new roles.

Leading a strong team of investment professionals and overseeing Brooks Macdonald’s rigorous investment proposition, their main priority will be a continued focus on delivering robust investment performance. They will report to CEO Andrew Shepherd

In addition to these appointments, Philip Glaze will become Chair of Brooks Macdonald’s Investment Committee. Formerly the Chief Investment Officer of HSBC Global Asset Management, Philip is already an external member of the Committee. He will be responsible for ensuring the firm’s house view and investment rules are clear and maintained throughout the business.

Andrew Shepherd, CEO at Brooks Macdonald, said:

“Richard and Michael’s appointments are a testament to the strength of the firm’s talent and demonstrate our ability to retain and develop our best people. Both have shown strong investment acumen and leadership skills over the years and have a deep understanding of our investment proposition. They are the right people to drive robust investment performance for our clients. I am also delighted that Philip has agreed to chair our Investment Committee.”
