Edward Channing

Edward joined Brooks Macdonald in 2002 and co-manages one of the investment teams in London, as well as bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of a range of clients. He is also member of our Asset Management Risk Committee and Chairman of the Brooks Macdonald Foundation.

Edward holds a number of industry qualifications, as well as being a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered MCSI).

Emily joined Brooks Macdonald in 2017 and is a member of the Private Client Team of our International business.

Emily has previously worked at HSBC Private Bank in the Institutional and Private Client teams and prior to this, at Concept Group Limited as a Pensions Administrator.

Emily is a Certified Financial PlannerTM professional, a Chartered Wealth Manager, a Guernsey Authorised Insurance Representative, and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investments. Emily holds the Diploma in Financial Planning, the Investment Advice Diploma (Financial Planning & Advice), and the Certificate in Paraplanning.

Emma joined Brooks Macdonald as a Relationship Manager in 2020.  Prior to this Emma worked as a Private Banking Manager for Lloyds, before the acquisition of the Channel Islands Wealth Management and Funds business by Brooks Macdonald.  Emma’s role involves developing lasting relationships and providing regulated investment advice to new and existing private clients/intermediaries.

With over 15 years’ experience in financial services, Emma is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and holds the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM).

Ewan joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and is the head of our Alternative Investment Market (AIM) Portfolio Service. Ewan sits on our Direct Equities research team.

Previously, Ewan was a Senior Investment Manager at Cornelian Asset Managers before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald.  Prior to that Ewan spent ten years at Kempen Capital Management (UK), working in their Small Cap team where he was the co-lead manager of their flagship European Small Cap fund.

Ewan is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder.

Frank joined Brooks Macdonald in 2010 and co-manages our Managed Portfolio Service and Multi-Asset Fund range.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Frank worked at Barclays Wealth. He has over 10 years’ experience in financial services.

Frank holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM).

Frank is the head of the Far East & emerging markets research team.

As a Private Client Advisor, Freddie is passionate about ensuring his clients have clear plans to help them reach their goals. Whilst Freddie advises his clients on investment and retirement planning, personal and business protection and estate planning, Freddie is passionate about cashflow planning with his clients.

Freddie began his career in wealth management since leaving school in 2015 and now has over 9 years of experience within Wealth Management. Freddie is a member of the Chartered Insurance Institute. He holds the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning and is working towards becoming a Chartered Financial Planner. Outside of the office you will find Freddie on the golf course.

Gary joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 as part of the acquisition of Lloyds Bank International's investment business. He leads our Relationship Management and Financial Planning Teams who provide investment advice for both existing and new clients in local and international jurisdictions.

Prior to this, Gary was a Senior Manager for Lloyds Private Banking where he was responsible for a team of regulated advisers, focusing primarily on locally resident clients, trust companies, high net worth individuals and key client relationships internationally.

Gary holds the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Diploma in Financial Services as well as the South African RE5 FAIS qualification. He has over 33 years’ experience in the financial services industry.

Greg Mullins is Head of Adviser Solutions for the Brooks Macdonald Group. Having joined Brooks Macdonald in 2024, he leads the firm’s outsourced investment management offering for IFAs, 

He has a long and successful history within the adviser market, bringing over 35 years of experience. During this time, Greg has held senior leadership roles within both wealth and asset management businesses, enabling him to build experience and relationships across all areas of the adviser marketplace. 

Starting his career at M&G, Greg has spent over a decade building and running the adviser distribution strategy at Rathbones. 

Greg is committed to building a strong and inclusive culture where talent can be recognised and empowered to deliver client centric outcomes.  

Outside of work, there is never a dull moment as Greg spends time with his wife, five children and Australian Labradoodle.

Hector joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and leads the global, unconstrained, risk managed funds team.

Prior to this, Hector worked at Cornelian Asset Managers, before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald, where he was the firm’s Chief Investment Officer. Hector joined Cornelian in 2010 from Scottish Value Management where he managed the SVM UK Alpha fund. Previously, he worked at Standard Life Investments as part of the Continental European Equities team.

Hector holds an MBA in Strategic Management from Imperial College Business School, as well as the ASIP qualification.

Henrietta joined Brooks Macdonald as the Head of Investment Specialists in 2023 and is responsible for providing expert advice on investment strategies and portfolio management to promote and distribute the firm's investment services to clients.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Henrietta was an Investment Director at M&G, covering equity and property funds and Head of International Fund Selection at JPMorgan Private Bank. She joined Brooks Macdonald from Sarasin & Partners, where she was a Multi Asset Investment Specialist and Deputy Manager of the Model Portfolio Service.

Henrietta has over thirty years’ experience in investment management, is a Chartered Fellow of the Securities Institute and an IMC holder. She also has an MA in Economics from Cambridge University.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, James worked for HSBC Expat, where he managed a portfolio of high net worth international clients, advising on tailored wealth solutions. He has also previously worked for a local financial advisory firm, providing investment and retirement advice while also participating in company and investment committee meetings.

James is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice and Management (PCIAM) and the Investment Advice Diploma (IAD). He has worked in the financial services industry since 2005.

James joined Brooks Macdonald in 2012 and runs the Guernsey team with a focus on business development. He was appointed to the board in February 2021.

Prior to this, James worked at Spearpoint before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald. He also worked at the Baronsmead Partners LLP as a Business Development Director, and Bank of Ireland as Head of Offshore Sales and Marketing. He has over 30 years' experience in financial services.

James joined Brooks Macdonald as a Non-Executive Director in March 2023, becoming Chair of the Audit Committee in May 2023. He is also a member of the Risk & Compliance, Remuneration and Nominations Committees.

James is currently a non-executive director on the boards of Citibank UK and Wilton Park which is an arm’s length body of the British Foreign Office.

James has enjoyed a long executive and non-executive career principally in financial services, including roles at Charles Stanley plc, Coutts, UBS and Arix Bioscence. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investments.
