Voting

Company shares usually carry voting rights and as a responsible investor, we use these rights to vote on items raised at general and extraordinary shareholders meetings, where appropriate.

Our engagement and voting activities

As the voting reflects our investment approach, discretionary clients’ holdings on our buy list, held in nominee accounts, will vote in accordance with our decision.

We employ a proxy voting service that provides in-depth research on corporate governance issues and voting recommendations. However, we retain voting discretion and will always act in the best interest of our clients.

Reporting on our engagement and voting activities

We publish our voting activities on a quarterly basis below. We do not typically disclose the identities of the companies we have engaged with, although we may provide case study examples on an ad hoc basis.
