Brooks Macdonald makes further investment in leadership as the Group continues to focus on delivering for clients and advisers

Brooks Macdonald today announces senior appointments that will play an important part in the Group’s growth ambitions. These appointments reflect the strategic priorities of the business, the continued focus on clients and advisers, and the ongoing investment in talent.

Robin Eggar, currently Co-Head of UK Investment Management (UKIM), is appointed as MD, Head of UKIM, taking sole responsibility for the business. Robin has been with Brooks Macdonald for nearly 20 years and has been a key part of the Group’s success. In this expanded role, Robin will lead UKIM through the next phase of our strategic journey, with a strong focus on delivering for clients and identifying further growth opportunities.

John Wallace, previously Co-Head of UKIM with Robin Eggar, has made a lifestyle decision to work closer to home and will be leaving Brooks Macdonald to join a local Hampshire-based IFA. John has been part of the business for the last 15 years and we thank him for his contribution. We wish him well as he takes on this new role.

Alick Mackay, who has been directly supporting the CEO as a strategy consultant over the last two years, has been appointed to the new position of Director of Strategy and Corporate Development.  Alick will be integral to our ambitious growth agenda, reporting jointly to Caroline Connellan and our Finance Director, Ben Thorpe.
