Brooks Macdonald today announces the relocation of their York office to Leeds city centre, together with an expansion of the local team with the addition of four senior hires to bolster the office over the coming weeks.

Moving to Leeds is a core part of the Group’s strategy to grow its investment management services throughout the region. The new location will enhance the ability to connect with current and potential advisers and clients.

The Brooks Macdonald York team will move to the new Leeds site and the team will expand throughout September and October with senior hires including a newly appointed Head of Northern Region alongside three Investment Directors.

Co-Head of UK Investment Management, John Wallace, said: “We are excited to be moving to the centre of Leeds and the opportunity that this gives us to expand our reach. Our plans to grow the Leeds office demonstrates our ongoing commitment to serve our advisers and clients locally. The strength of Brooks Macdonald’s relationships with advisers and clients is founded on having the best people and it is all the more pleasing that our growth ambition and investment approach continue to attract highly experienced people from across the industry.”

The investment in Leeds is part of an ongoing commitment to the region. Leeds has a thriving business culture and Brooks Macdonald is the proud leading partner for the fourth year running of the Leeds International Film Festival 2019.

In October, the firm will be hosting a high profile Adviser Academy in the prestigious Adlington Hall. The Academy will focus on the principles of environmental, social and governance (ESG) investment, and feature leading industry speakers from JP Morgan, Impax Asset Management and Aberdeen Standard Investments, alongside legendary explorer Levison Wood who will share how he has dealt with both man-made and environmental challenges on his travels. Advisers and introducers from across the region are welcome to attend.
