The conference brings together high-profile figures from government and parliament, leading experts and survivors, to share their knowledge and experiences. This year's conference will be attended by, amongst others, Sir Keir Starmer, Leader of the Labour Party and Women's Aid Patron, and Melanie Brown MBE. The focus will be on how to deliver a whole-system response to domestic abuse, from fixing the family courts, tackling online harms, to building a society that does not tolerate any violence against women and girls.

Brooks Macdonald's support of Women's Aid was driven by Angela, a long-standing employee, who shared her personal experience as a survivor of domestic abuse with her colleagues to highlight the importance of supporting organisations such as Women's Aid. Brooks Macdonald is committed to raising awareness of the issue of domestic abuse and is proud to partner with Women’s Aid, who offer in-house training to organisations to help spot the signs of abuse, helping to ensure victims get the support they need.

Women’s Aid is a national charity that helps thousands of women escape domestic abuse, providing support and guidance to 170 organisations, who provide nearly 300 services to survivors. Local services support woman and child survivors in the community, in refuges, via helplines, support groups and so much more, helping survivors to recover and rebuild their lives after abuse.

Andrew Shepherd, CEO at Brooks Macdonald, said:
"Shockingly one in four women will experience domestic abuse in their lifetime, and Women's Aid offers a vital lifeline for survivors, providing crucial support and resources to help them rebuild their lives. We are very proud to be supporting Women's Aid's flagship Public Policy Conference.  Supporting initiatives that make a positive difference in society is a core part of Brooks Macdonald and we are pleased to be able to make a small contribution to this very important cause."
