For the majority of our users, your username is the email address that you have registered with Brooks Macdonald. If this does not work, please get in touch with our dedicated support team on [email protected] or call +44 (0)808 281 1069.

Visit www.InvestBM.com and click ‘forgot password?’. For the majority of our users, your username is the email address that you have registered with Brooks Macdonald.

I am receiving my one-time passcode (OTP) via email, am I able to receive it via SMS?

I am receiving my one-time passcode (OTP) via email, am I able to receive it via SMS?

Yes. We now have the functionality to send one-time passcodes via SMS. Please get in touch with our dedicated support team on [email protected] or call +44 (0)808 281 1069 to switch to SMS. 

Can I export a list of my clients, including assets they hold with Brooks Macdonald and other data points?

Can I export a list of my clients, including assets they hold with Brooks Macdonald and other data points?

Yes. If you click on the “Search” button on the left hand menu bar and select “Portfolios”, this will bring up a list of all the portfolios you have access to. The data presented will include the client name, market value, cash balance, risk profile along with many other data attributes. All data is exportable in Excel or CSV. 

Can a client download a copy of the signed PDF after digitally signing an application, and will this go into their portal documents?

Can a client download a copy of the signed PDF after digitally signing an application, and will this go into their portal documents?

A client cannot download a copy of the application from the portal, but they can download a copy at the point they sign. As an adviser, you are able to go into the client record and visit the ‘information & application’ page and find completed, or in flight, applications.

For digital onboarding, once the client has signed their application where does the notification go?

For digital onboarding, once the client has signed their application where does the notification go?

The signature process is designed to be sequential – once you have sent it to a client and they have signed it, it will return to the lead adviser to be countersigned. This will trigger an email to the relevant team in Brooks Macdonald to notify them there is a new document waiting to process.

Does our view look the same as the view of our clients?

Does our view look the same as the view of our clients?

Yes – other than the search screens and the landing page, your view is the same as the one your clients will see. Note that a client’s landing page is the same view as your ‘summary’ page once you have selected a client.

Do admin staff have the same access as advisers?

Do admin staff have the same access as advisers?

No – an adviser will only see clients that they specifically advise on. An admin user will have visibility of all of the clients of your firm that have a relationship with Brooks Macdonald.

Do we have SEDOLs on the transaction report?

Do we have SEDOLs on the transaction report?

No – we have captured ISIN’s instead of SEDOLs.
