Brooks Macdonald employees pedal their way to more than £23,000 for charity
A team of cyclists from Brooks Macdonald embarked on a gruelling 400km journey across the length and breadth of Mallorca, raising an impressive £23,000 for two exceptional charities, The Wave Project and Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity.
The charities were nominated by Brooks Macdonald employees and selected through a company-wide vote. Great Ormond Street Hospital, established in 1852, is a world-renowned centre for paediatric healthcare. The Wave Project, based in Cornwall, utilises surf therapy to support the mental and physical well-being of young people.
Over four days, the 16 riders travelled around the whole island, conquering challenging terrains and steep inclines. Participants had the option to choose between a 'standard' or an 'elite' route, catering to varying levels of cycling experience.
Employee-driven fundraising initiatives like this one are at the heart of Brooks Macdonald’s approach to corporate responsibility and its conviction that businesses have a crucial role to play in helping make communities better.
